He has set the goals very high… He is focused on those goals... He is learning the skills... He is doing the work... He has the talent... He has the desire... Now, he needs you. Karate training and competition require an incredible amount of determination, discipline and an actual love of the sport. They also represent a significant financial commitment from the family of the Karate-ka. Local tournaments are relatively inexpensive individually, but add up to a significant amount over a competitive season. The World and International level tournaments are usually out-of-state as they rotate locations. This means airfare, hotel, local travel expenses and restaurants in addition to the actual tournament fees, registrations, special uniforms and equipment. For a serious competitor with future plans in the sport, the importance of participation in these tournaments is immeasurable. Without financial assistance, Robert’s participation in out-of-state National, International and World competitions will be impossible. All money received will be used towards the 2005 competitive schedule. This is a great opportunity for you to do two wonderful things: First, you will help a very talented young man achieve his goals. Second, you can sponsor, or help sponsor, a world class athlete. Maybe, in the very near future, as soon as 2008 or 2012, you may even find yourself sponsoring an Olympian!More importantly, you will be helping a boy as he is learning to make his mark on the world a good one. Sponsoring can be: A non-specific donation made towards future competitions. Directed toward a specific event or portion of event. Full sponsorship of a selected event is provided. **Average event fees vary from $50 for local events to $2500 for world level events. These fees may include (for away events): airfare, hotel, competition fees, equipment and uniforms, restaurants
